I have not watched this trailer in English. I would suggest you do the same. I saw Godzilla 2000, and it was not so good. There's little possibility this will fare any better. But in German...that's another matter entirely. Unless you speak German, in which case you should probably watch it in Spanish. If you happen to be trilingual, you're straight shit out of luck and should probably just go out and rent some old Godzilla flicks.

When I say this movie has very little possibility of actually achieving any sort of quality execution, I don't mean you shouldn't go see the thing. It's King Kong for Christ sake; if anything, you're almost obligated to go see it. It is written somewhere deep within the movie watching bible: if you've invested more than 100 hours of your life into any given movie franchise—the majority of which was probably accumulated while watching old reruns on TBS—you're obligated to go see any new iteration of that franchise. This includes, but is not limited to:

...all of which (especially The Beast Master) are arguably sub par and arguably haven't even reached that standard for several decades, unless we're talking about The Beast Master which never hit the sub par mark but somehow managed to make it into the TBS bad movie rotation anyway. Yet for some reason, we continue to watch these movies, whether because of some deeply rooted primal inclination or because it's the only thing on in the middle of the day after The Price Is Right is over other than bad soap operas isn't really the issue; the point is that anyone entering into such a contract with a crappy B movie is obligated by that contract to continue to see every increasingly bad spin off of the franchise until death or the ultimate demise of the production house—which isn't likely to happen anytime soon due to your, mine, and everyone else's continuing accords.

Aside from seeing this film due to contractual obligations, you'll want to see it because Jack Black is in it. Jack Black is an actor that you either revere as a brilliant comedic mind or absolutely loathe; I tend to fall into the former camp but have been party to the latter almost equally as often. More importantly, however, is the fact that Mr. Black has never been in any serious roles worth mentioning—aside from high fidelity, but that was not an entirely serious movie and certainly no action flick. Therefore, it should be immensely enjoyable to watch him try to pull off this role. Not that I don't think he's a talented enough actor to pull it off, but because every time I see him on camera I'll be thinking about his co-starring role in a movie centered around the eradication of poo.
